I heard people were buying drugs and other illegal stuff on the internet but as usual I did not believe them so I had to have a look by myself. I m not describing the steps to browse into the darkweb since they are easy to find on so many websites. With the right tools and help from some online instructions I got there. So what s there? There are a lot of things, illegal stuff (drugs, uk passports, etc) which I still think that are fake, political websites which have to remain anonymous in some countries, etc... this was not a big deal until I told my friends and hear their reactions: "Will the police visit you?" "These days it is not a good idea to go there"....

I must be honest, I never had privacy concerns. I gave all my data to Yahoo, Microsoft, Google, Facebook, the book store, the supermarket, etc. (because I have "nothing to hide") so at this moment they might know more about me than myself. But today, I remembered "1984" where people had no freedom to speak, do or even think... so I asked myself the following questions: Did we already agree the government (or whoever) to spy on our private lives? Are we so scared of not following the pattern even if we are not doing anything illegal? How far are we from 1984? Are you reading this on a "telescreen"? So, after all this, ... should I encrypt my digital life to get back the scraps of my privacy that are still left?

Catch´em all

My first thinkin was "this is the end of the human race" when I saw people on the streets walking like zombies with their smartphones following something that does not even exist; but beyond that (and beyond all security and privacy issues) and from the technological point of view, it is very interesting. Augmented reality is now popular and everybody can use it (actually not everybody, remember thousands of people are dying everyday because of lack of water, diseases, etc and probably will never be able to afford an smartphone). But at least for people in the developed world it is there.

I consider it important because it is a mixture among real and virtual world on site and real time, that never happened before. There might be a lot of useful applications. Can u imagine, a passport control made on the virtual world to open a door on the real world? Like a virtual police man or something like that? I want to see when people start having sex on the streets without even touching... kind of second life but 1/2 real.

Pensamientos en Norge

- Salaries: En Noruega pagan muy bien, para que la gente se aguante el frio, la oscuridad y no se vaya del País.

- Music: Noruega es oscuro, de allí viene el Black Metal.

- Wheather: Pobres noruegos, no saben lo que es el sol. Yo con chaqueta para el viento y ellos en camiseta y shorts.

- Water resources: Si a Noruega le fué bien con el petróleo, esperen a que comience la escaces de agua mundial.

- Electric cars: Los noruegos ven al resto de Europa como salvajes usando carros a gasolina.

- Prices: Gracias Dios por no haber nacido en Noruega, con esos precios no hubiera aguantado una semana.

- Index: El Gini mas bajo y el HDI mas alto, sin palabras.

Hora pico en bicicleta

Contrario a lo que pensaba, en Bogotá si se utulizan las bicicletas como medio de transporte en horas pico. Esta mañana conté hasta cinco bicicletas por minuto sobre la avenida. Esto fué para mi algo muy positivo. Sin embargo ví algunos comportamientos que ponen en peligro la vida del ciclista y deben ser regulados cuanto antes:

- Muchos cicilistas no utilizan casco
- Muy pocos ciclistas utilizan reflectores
- No hay un carril definido, es decir, algunos van por la derecha, otros por la izquierda, otros por el medio, otros alternan entre los anteriores.

Eta situación debe cambiar cuanto antes. Ya sea por campañas de la alcaldía o apoyado por los diferentes grupos de activistas de la bicicleta.
